My best friend and I are going to MB in a couple of weeks and we are thinking about going to the Medieval Times dinner and show. I just have a couple of questions about it, the first one being if it starts at 6PM, how long does it last? I would assume around 2 hours but would like to know from people that have been there.
My next question is what is the difference in just standard adult seats than the royal seating? I see that it is about $10 more, so wanted to know the benefits in that upgrade.
Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Just went there last week. I would say the upgrade is worth the extra cost. Royal seating is along the sides. If it was a football game you%26#39;d be between the 30 yard lines. General seating is in the corners or next to the ';end zone';.
You also recieve a few not so great extras with royal upgrade. A little flag to wave, a booklet and a DVD that shows all that goes into putting on the show. From raising the horses to the choreography. Yeah....It%26#39;s worth the extra cost.
Doors open at 4:30. Coming in they will take your picture. Be sure and smile. Later during the show they will come by table and offer to sell you a pic of your face on either a knight%26#39;s or damsel%26#39;s body.
Plenty of time to mingle. Before going to show, shop around and look at any brochures of MT before you go. They have a display of dungeon/torture chambers. Costs extra but some brochures have a free dungeon coupon. Check with concierge where you are staying. Need a coupon for each adult.
Two bars inside. Have a beer or mixed drink before dinner. Available in regular cup that%26#39;s not a bad keepsake. Fancier souvineer cups there but almost doubles cost of drink.
From time to time the ';emcee'; climbs to raised deck in costume and makes announcments. Some of his tongue in cheek comments are funny. Listen for the trumpets. That%26#39;s the signal that something is about to happen.
King and princess sit there and special occasions such as honeymooners and birthdays are knighted.
When dinner starts they let you into arena. Hope you have open mind about these things but it%26#39;s like eating in a stable. Smell not the most appetizing atmoshere for a meal.
Each course is served one a time. First they serve dragon soup. Really was good. Could have ate more. No spoons or other utinsels. Eat with hands. Pick up bowl and drink. Then dragon tongue(garlic bread). Then large serving of baby dragon. (large half of chicken). Very tasty and juicy. Then a spare rib. Was too busy eating by then to hear what dragon part that was.
Show actually starts during first course. Sometimes you%26#39;re eating in the dark. Show actually has story line. King and knights have returned from battle and plan festival and tournament to celebrate. Guests are assigned knights to cheer for. It%26#39;s a lot of fun. Expensive but you will enjoy it.
