what do you think of this plan

Just a few notes....

In March, you will definately not be swimming in the ocean, so I don%26#39;t know if you want to do more than one night on Tybee Island. Or since Tybee is so close to Savannah, spend two in Savannah and two on Tybee Island.

Historic downtown Charleston is a definate must do (there is plenty to do), and is a wonderful walking city. I would spend three days here alone (four, if you wanted to do one of the plantations). The definate must dos would be....

- carriage ride/tour

- tour the mansions (exceptional)

- relax/picnic in Battery Park

- participate in an evening ghost tour

- tour a plantation on the outskirts of Charleston (especially if you are not planning a return trip to do this). depending on which one you do, this could be an entire day in itself.

When you arrive in historic Charleston, go straight to the visitors center and obtain a map of the historical area and start your walking and touring from there!

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful vacation.

I think you%26#39;ll be shortchanging yourself by only spending 2 nights in Charleston. Maybe 2 nights in Savannah on the front end of your trip instead of 3 since you%26#39;ll have your final night in Savannah too. Cumberland Island is wonderful! So nice to see a barrier island pretty untouched. You%26#39;ll have a great visit!
