First Visit to Charleston

We are coming Oct 20 - 24th. We are staying at eh Marriott in the Historic District. Haven%26#39;t heard anyone mention it? Any pros/cons?

I must say that the post about restaurants and tours have been very help.

Where is the visitors center located?

First Visit to Charleston

The Visitors Center is located in a converted railroad warehouse, directly across Meeting Street from the Charleston Museum. The address of the center is:

There is parking at the center. You can also pick up transportation and tours from the center.

Are you talking about the Marriott on Lockwood Drive? If so, that is not exactly in the Historic District.
