Charleston to Augusta

We have tickets for the Monday practice round at the 2008 Masters.

We have found no accomodations close to the National, or even in surrounding areas, so we would thought we would combine a short trip to Charleston for the weekend and then drive over.

Is the distance about 125 miles? And, any ideas for a place to stay within distance to sites downtown for my husband and 15 year old son?

Thanks!

Don%26#39;t know what price range you%26#39;re looking for, so if you go to www.charlestoncvb.com it will give you all the hotels and bed %26amp; breakfasts in historic downtown Charleston.

By the way, I cam across these bed %26amp; breakfasts in North Augusta, SC in a travel guide that%26#39;s a few year%26#39;s old. You might want to try them:

Bloom Hill (803) 593-2573

Lookaway Hall (803) 278-6222

Rosemary Hall (803) 278-6222

I know it%26#39;s tough to get a hotel from miles around, people even stay here in Columbia for the Masters. If you end up with no luck in Charleston, you might want to the Columbia area. If you need hotel info for here, let me know.

Many thanks for your kind response. This gives us several options.

I appreciate your help!

Hi Lynn,

We have tickets for the Tuesday practice round (2008). I called the Ramada Inn in Augusta and was able to book a room for 2 nights with no problem. It doesn%26#39;t look like luxury, but they have rooms. Phone number is 706/733-8115
