Hilton Head for New Years Eve

This will be my first time at Hilton Head and I have reservations at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. Me, my husband and 2 children ( 17 %26amp; 13) will be there for New years Eve. Could anyone tell me, what there is to do and give me some suggestions. We spent last New Yeras in Disneyworld..so I am not sure anything will beat that in my kids eyes. Also, what is the weather like that time of year? Is it too cold to swim? Thanks .

Hilton Head is pretty low key around that time of the year. It certainly won%26#39;t be like DisneyWorld! Yes, it will be cold- 50%26#39;s 60%26#39;s not swimming weather. I don%26#39;t think this would be my first choice for NY Eve with teens. Do they like to golf? How about ride bikes? Walk through Nature preserves or go to Savannah or Charleston? Honestly- you might want to change your plans- will you be driving down or flying?

We generally have a nice dinner out and then walk the beach. Several restaurants have special menus and entertainment, but it is low key.

Weather is normally in the sixties during the day and the forties in the evening. Most pools are closed.

We are driving to Disneyworld and staying there for 1 week. We always come home exhausted from there and thought on the way home we would stop at Hilton Head to relax for awhile. Have we chosen a good hotel? I have read some good reviews about it. Thanks for all the info.

How long will you be in HH? It is off season and you could probably rent a 2 bdrm condo for less than a hotel. If you really want a hotel- the Hilton is fine for that time of year.

The Hilton is great, but you may want to consider the Marriott. It has an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Both hotels are in Palmetto Dunes.
