My husband and I plan to take a day trip in Charleston next week. We will take our one year old baby with us. Could you recommend a good budget seafood restaurant for us? Our buget is about $15 per person for lunch. Thanks.

we%26#39;ve had a good expererience at the library. fresh, fun and still casual
they oysters were as big as the palm of my hand, and i have never eaten them any more tasty than at the acme oyster bar in nawlings. great meal, fun food, and marvelous time! it%26#39;s more of a place for drinks than dinner though, but we were glad we stayed. the seafood was ocean fresh! and top notch!

I always suggest Gilligan%26#39;s - excellent. Several locations in the area.
For lunch in the historic district, try Joseph%26#39;s (on Meeting Street near the corner of Queen Street). The place is very local and casual, with no frills. Anything invoving shrimp or oysters is excellent at Joseph%26#39;s. My personal favorite is the oyster po%26#39;boy, which is loaded with oysters. My husband likes the shrimp%26#39;n grits. The fried green tomatoes are a great starter. The portions are large. The food is cheap (you will spend far less than $15 per person). The place does not serve alchoholic drinks, but the iced tea is very good. And your baby will be welcomed cheerfully!
