My Hubby And I are planning a romantic vacation. we have been married by next year 15 years. and we have not been away by oursleves in 6 so i was thinkign we could leave the kids with the grandparents and go away, but i wanna go somewhere that there is excitment and adventure. so here are my 2 options, Hilton Head or Las Vegas. please someone out there help me. I need to decide
Which one should I choose????
I don%26#39;t think you can really compare the two... very different vacations!
Which one should I choose????
I agree with the previous poster. Hilton Head would be a nice relaxing and peaceful vacation. Vegas would be a vacation that was ';exciting and adventurous'; with lots and lots of people. What exactly are you looking to get out of your vacation?

You sound as though you are looking for excitement. I love HHI but by all means you sound as you shoud go to Vegas. HHI is a laid back place without a lot of excitement its more of a family place.
Dirtyfeet. This one%26#39;s kind of confusing to me. In your one post you';re looking for romance and in this one you';re looking for excitement. And there%26#39;s nothing wrong with that. Unfortuneatly I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll find both at either place. Vegas will give you the action and hustle and bustle, but bellying up to the buffets isn%26#39;t excatly romantic to me where dinner for two at many of the fine restaurants in the HH area should fit that bill.HH also offers really nice side trips( i.e. Savanah, Beaufort,Charleston) that can enhance any trip. Best of luck with your decision.

HH might sound more of the romantic that i am looking for, but i dont wanna just walk around foing shopping, i wanna go to the beach but you can only be at the beach for so many hours. what are some of the romantic and fun things for couples to do there, and what are some of the nice places to eat and a nice hotel that wont break my budget.
Have you considered going to historic Charleston instead? It sounds like more of what you might be interested in. The beaches are only fifteen minutes away and Charleston is a very romantic city with so much to do.
You could take a carriage ride. You could picnic at battery park. You could take a wonderful dinner cruise. It is a walking city and plenty to see and do. You could go to Middleton Plantation, even eat there.
This sounds more like what you are looking for, just a suggestion.
Or possibly Myrtle Beach. Yuo can enjoy the beach and still have activities, nightlife and shows.

We love Hilton Head! Quiet, Relaxing, Romantic especially off season. He does golf, I do beach and we do all else together. We try to go between the middle of September and beginning of October , still warm but no crowds. Went on our Honeymoon (2nd marriage) and we%26#39;ll be going for our 4th year soon! Love it!!!
Good Luck - Sue
