I%26#39;ll be moving to S.C (somewhere within 10-15 miles of Myrtle Beach) in Jan/Feb .. but in moving from Maryland to S.C -- where do I start in my job search? Newspapers? Monster.com? Temp Agencies? I have over 25 years administrative experience and don%26#39;t know where to look. Can you offer any advice, suggestions?
My fiancee already has a job lined up and we are coming to visit in November so I can see the area - are there any housing communities or new construction housing areas that offer discounts for you to stay in a hotel/condo while you%26#39;re ';home searching';? Any thoughts would be appreciated (I%26#39;m 47, he%26#39;s 53).
Thanks!
Robin
Job prospects-coming to visit...
Believe it or not, T/A actually does not encourage threads about relocation questions, even though travel is required, and a sizeable percentage of people while vacationing are also evaluating possible relocation/retirement locales. They may close this one, so before that happens, I suggest checking the relocation forums %26amp; advice at funbeaches.com.
Be aware that SC wages are likely less than what you are accustomed to %26amp; in MB proper you may find limited opportunities in certain professions. Maybe check Conway, Georgetown, Wilmington (NC) or Florence.
You will find PLENTY of new construction housing %26amp; probably some very accomodating realtors and developers who will welcome you with open arms.

Ditto to the Funbeaches site. When page comes up, scroll down. Top of left column should be message board link. There%26#39;s a section there dealing with nothing but relocation questions. Everything from job search to drivers license renewal.
I would check with the two ( MB-NMB) city web sites. North Myrtle Beach always has a long list of job openings and office type jobs are always on the list.
