Any suggestions on activities in December? My mom is in her sixties and very active, so we are looking for mature activites.
Shopping is a given, but where are the better places to shop?
We%26#39;re staying on S. Ocean Blvd and are searching for reasonably priced restaurants near our resort...any suggestions?
I heard Molly Darcy%26#39;s was worth a try. What is your opinion?
NMB in December--To Do?
Molly Darcy is a bar, with pool tables and some seating. I think the main draw with MD is sitting outside oceanfront, not sure in Dec I would go there. There are so many restaurants especially in North MB on Hwy 17. We have an Outlet Mall and Colonial Mall at Hwy 17 and Hwy 22 in NMB, we have Coastal Grand Mall in MB off Bypass 17 largest in SC. We also have Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, 2 very large entertainment/restaurant/shopping venues. Barefoot Landing is in NMB, many restaurants to chose from, River City Cafe is nice choice overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, good hamburgers. Hamburger Joe%26#39;s across from Barefoot also good and decent priced. Seafood buffets line Hwy 17.
Filets in Little River has nice dining room, with some nice keyboard entertainment, it caters to a local crowd, she might like that.

HOW could I forget, Carolina Opry and Alabama Theater put on some great Christmas Shows, I highly recommend one of those.
I would go to the Carolina Opry Christmas Show. It is great! As far as shopping I love the Tanger Outlets on 17. I could spend and have spent days there. :-) Also if you have bad weather days the Colonial Mall is nice and is also conveniently located on 17 aka Kings Hwy. We like Logans Road House. We have never had a bad meal there and have been countless times. If you are up for a little drive go to Calabash for the BEST ever seafood at Ella%26#39;s. It is the cheapest and truly is the best we have ever had.
I 2nd ALL of your suggestions. We agree on Logans, good steaks. Sometimes we get very tired of seafood, you can only eat so much of it, sometimes you need a good filet or ribeye. We prefer Carolina Opry over Alabama but thats certainly individual preference.
OK...great suggestions! Any dinner theatre? Mom mentioned yest. that she had never done that and thought it would be a good experience. Thanks!
There is Dolly%26#39;s (as in Parton) http://www.dixiestampede.com/christmas.php then there is medievel times http://www.medievaltimes.com/theshow.htm. Not dinner theater but there is the palace http://www.palacetheatremyrtlebeach.com/ at Broadway at the Beach https:/鈥?/a>
Early December and she can see a Holiday show other shows ongoing.
