Need 1 Night Downtown Charleston Affordable

Hi we are coming in for a wedding in October. My mother and I are looking for accomomdations for one night in Downtown/Historic District within a reasonable price so we can see some sights. Any suggestions on where to stay? We are staying 10/20 at the Middleton Place Inn the night of the wedding. So we just need 1 night on 10/19.

Hi, I did an expedia search and the lowest rates for heart of downtown is the Days Inn on Meeting St for $209. A lot of the others say downtown but they are not in the heart. Anything with a 29401 zip code is your best bet. This is a busy weekend in Charleston and most places are already sold out or require 2 night min but they don%26#39;t. They also have free parking which is rare. There is nothing historic about this place but it is clean and one of the best locations in town.

Middleton Place isn%26#39;t all that far from downtown Charleston - maybe 20 minutes. You might just want to stay both nights at Middleton Place instead of changing hotels for one night %26amp; avoid the hassle of changing hotels - checking in %26amp; out twice; we often make a day trip from Columbia, SC to Charleston, which is about 2 hrs. For dining in Charleston, I highly recommend Magnolia%26#39;s or Peninsula Grill for dinner. We liked 82 Queen %26amp; Blossom St Cafe for lunch.
