Kiawah Island Golf Resort WINDSWEPT villas

My wife and I as well as another couple just returned from Kiawah. It was a great trip. We stayed in a 2 bedroom premiere villa that had a partial ocean view. The accommodations were perfect. Very clean and spacious. I believe we paid 279/night. This was a special rate for a conference I was attending.

We golfed at Oak Point, Osprey Point, and Turtle Point. They were all very nice, but Turtle point was my favorite. Osprey Point just aerated the greens. However, this has the most scenery of the 3. It has unbelievable homes along some of the holes. These homes are around 5 million and up. Incredible. Saw some beautiful wild life on golf courses. We did not play the Ocean Course, but this is the best one on the island. IT is 270 but if you play somewhere else in the morning you get the replay rate which is 160.

We rented bikes and rode around the 10000 acre island. Lots of nice bike trails and scenery.

My wife went to the spa and she said that it was comparable to other nice resort spas, but not out of this world like Enchantment Resort or Mani Lani.

We went to Charleston 2 days which is about 45 minutes away and toured the city by trolley as well as a harbor tour. Very historical city with many different tours for all types of interest. We also went to Boone Plantation which was nice, but not too spectacular in my opinion for the 20 bucks to get in.

Kiawah is very non commericialized. It is nothing like myrtle beach and more private and nicer then Hilton Head. Not sure there is much in the way of nightlife, but we were not into that.

I received an email this morning from a guest who just let my home on SI; He attached the most incredible sunset I%26#39;ve seen in a while.

Come back and visit the Lowcountry again.
