what clothes to pack

Hello everyone, we are coming to North Myrtle Beach Oct 12 to 20th. We are wondering what clothes to pack. We are keeping a close eye on the weather and it looks like we will enjoy warmer weather than what we have here, in the west of Cananda. Even though it is Oct, will we be out of place if we are wearing shorts and other summer resort wear, and what about dining at finer resturants (res. at Thoroughbreds) Thanks for any info you can pass along.

No, if it%26#39;s warm you%26#39;ll be out of place if you don%26#39;t wear shorts. Expected temps on the 15 day out is in the 70%26#39;s but sun is warm. Bring a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt in case or else buy a souvenir sweat shirt while there if needed. Not sure about Thoroughbreds but most restaurants are casual. If in doubt a nice pair of khaki%26#39;s and a polo shirt for men and a slacks and nice top for women are fine. I don%26#39;t know of any jacket and tie restaurants but I%26#39;m sure there are some out there and you%26#39;ll find some that will dress up no matter what the restaurant is like.

Along with Thoroughbreds try Mayors House,Chesapeake House and Chestnut Hill. For lunch and a great burger try the back porch at Hamburger Joes. Oh yeah for dinner Joes Bar is fine dining ,dont let the name fool you.Their back deck looks out on a salt marsh.

The banana mandarin grouper at Divine Fish House in Murrells Inlet is to die for.

Only the Library here in MB has a dress code so don%26#39;t worry about being out of place. Shorts are definitely in order down here now, I would bring some pants and a light jacket just to be on the safe side, if you are going to walk to beach at night the breeze off the ocean can be chilly even if it is not cold outside.

October weather is hard to predict - bring layers.
