Christmas At Sumter SC, What else Is There To Do There?

I am planning a day trip to Sumter SC. We plan to see the Sumter Fantasy Of Lights while we are there, but we are looking for a few things to do during the daylight. We love history, art, museums, aquariums, etc. Just looking for some ideas to run past the family.

Thanks!!!

Christmas At Sumter SC, What else Is There To Do There?

Not sure when in December you%26#39;ll be visiting but there is a lot going on the early part of December with the lighting of the tree at Swan Lake, the First Baptist Church%26#39;s Singing Christmas Tree, Trinity Methodist Church%26#39;s drive-through living nativity, Grace Baptist Church%26#39;s living nativity that is smaller but just as nice. The museum down near Tuomey Hospital is nice but small. If you are up to driving to Columbia, the Lights Before Christmas at Riverbanks Zoo is really great and a family tradition with my family every year. The closest aquarium is the ARC (animal and reptile center) at the zoo with the aquarium at Myrtle Beach being nicer than the one in Charleston. I hope you have a very pleasant and fullfilling visit to our fair city:)
