Forest Dunes has spacious rooms and great views from the 8th floor on up but the indoor pool is very small.Decent outside pool and lazy river ,also a hot tub.

the beach colony is in a great location surrounded by a largely residential area. Great beach. Good amenities. Indoor pool and whirlpool. Game room. Restaurant on premises.

Parking is pretty weak due to poorly designed garage.

We are going to stay in Dunes Village for the very first time in 2 weeks. It has really good reviews everywhere I have researched and the rates are great right now because they are running a grand opening special. we ended up with 50% off. We picked it because of the indoor water park. I had actually booked before the special but when I checked their website and called them, they were very accomodating about giving me the cheaper rate. The price may be worth thinking about.

It wasn%26#39;t me, I swear.......lol. Seriously, I booked the first of July and there wasn%26#39;t alot to choose from then. We were actually planning on renting a condo when I ran across the dunes. the big thing about this time of year, is hurricanes. Last time we went the governor ordered a mandatory evacuation and it took us almost 8 hours just to get out of myrtle beach. We had checked the weather before we left and the hurrican was supposed to be headed toward the gulg but turned and came up the coast...... I won%26#39;t ever do that again!

We%26#39;ve never been to Myrtle Beach and also hoping it%26#39;s

still warm enough for beach Oct 5-12.

It was about 7 years ago. We went about 3 times in a row because we do really like it but then we did a cruise and did disney one year and a few other places. Last year we went to Lauderdale by the Beach because the low season there is the middle of summer. We have loved it everytime we went. the weather is usually really good there this time of year. We are leaving on the 5th of October and coming back on the 12th which is during our fall break. I think you will like it. the people in MB are very friendly and we like it cause it reminds us of home. We are from Tennessee. It has more of a family atmosphere than Florida does, I think. The bad thing is that we will be catching the tail end of fall bike week but I imagine it will be mostly older bikers this time of year.

holiday inn highland beach oceanfront is stunning - i%26#39;ve heard

nice things about lauderdale by the sea.

We are really looking forward to myrtle beach for the 1st time.

Fergy, you cant control the weather so do not fret about it.Been coming down for about 10 years now and have not run into a hurricane yet.
