I haven%26#39;t stayed at the H.Inn , Surfside, but I%26#39;ve seen the pool area and the outside. We usually stay about three blocks down at the Days Inn, Surfside. We love the laid-back atmosphere of Surfside. It%26#39;s a lot quieter-----and calmer. We like the Days Inn because there are several good (really good) restaurants within walking distance. Bubba%26#39;s Fish Shack (awesome ribs, catfish, chicken) in a dock type atmosphere, River City Burgers (great burgers and such), Nibils (a pier restaurant with awesome prime rib, shrimp---they serve a mean breakfast, too!) and Latitude 21 (more upscale, not exactly family oriented, but good food). There%26#39;s also a great little ice cream parlor there, but when we went last September, they were closed. Anyway, the Holiday Inn is only three or four blocks away, so all those eateries are close enough if you stay there.

Sorry, I didn%26#39;t see the steak question. Nibils has good steak, but there%26#39;s also an excellent steakhouse called T-Bones about seven miles south on the main highway. It%26#39;s address is Murrells Inlet, I think, but it%26#39;s not on the inlet road, it%26#39;s out on the main highway that leads to Pawley%26#39;s Island. AWESOME steaks!!!!

We just stayed near that Holiday Inn last week %26amp; took a walk around the grounds %26amp; public buildings. It is a nice stretch of beach %26amp; has a great view of the ocean from the pool/patio area. Everything seemed clean but we didn%26#39;t see any rooms, so can%26#39;t comment on them.

There is just a plain pool, no lazy river or kiddie area (if that matters to you).
