Hello, really just wanted to submit this post for Hilton Head residents, but my husband and I just got married on the Island in June. Our photographer, Torrey Downs (www.miraphotosc.com) who did a completely amazing job, got one of our photos published in Septembers Hilton Head Monthly! Check it out if you are in the area and can get the magazine. It%26#39;s on 2 pages, 76 %26amp; 77. And yes, that sandcastle just happened to be on the beach, what a great prop! If you go to Torrey%26#39;s website, we are actually the featured wedding on her website now also!
Just wanted to share, it%26#39;s exciting to be in a magazine:)

congratulations on your wedding and I hope you have a long and fruitful life together.
I%26#39;m in DC right now on business, but will look at my copy of HH Monthly when I get home later this week.

Congratulations on your wedding! I think Hilton Head is a fabulous place to get married at. I do have a couple questions...did you get married on the beach, where did you hold your reception at or did you have it caterered? Hotel or house rental for your guests and depending on where you held your reception, how many guest did you invite? Thanks!
Beautiful pictures. You made a lovely bride.
Hi Scrap Happy,
We had our reception at the Crowne Plaza in Shipyard, and the wedding was on the beach, right outside of the Crowne Plaza property. We had 90 people there (all from out of town since we live in Ohio!) I did not have it catered, we went the easy route and did everything thru the hotel, but the CP did a great job. We had brunch there on Sunday as well which was delicious. Dinner was great too, we had a buffett line set up but the chefs from the CP restaurant were outside grilling everyones steaks and swordfish for them. It was really perfect, no complaints! My mom does wish that they would have rented a beach house where they would have stayed, to be able to have more of a pre party the day of the wedding there and more room to get ready, and we also probably would have done the brunch there afterwards. But it was definitely easier to not have to deal w/ catering! Email me if you need more info on any of the hotels. I have the contacts at the CP I can get you in touch with, as well as some of my other vendors used.
Good Luck!
