I will be picking my parents (ages 72 and 80 - but still in great shape) up in Savannah and driving them to Charleston to catch a flight out of Charleston airport. We will have approx 36 hours before our plan leaves. We will arrive on Saturday night and departing early monday. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to spend a Sunday in Charleston? We are staying at The Alley Lodge because they are bluegreen owners.
I was planning on taking them to Joseph%26#39;s for brunch?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Just 36 hours to spend in Charleston
Hi MT7,
Others from SC will chime in, I%26#39;m sure but since I%26#39;m from Mi too I thought I%26#39;d add my .02.
I suggest a carriage tour on Saturday afternoon - if you%26#39;re THERE in the afternoon. If not, a quiet dinner (82 Queen, Magnolias, California Dreamin on the water) and then Sunday either breakfast or brunch (82 Queen courtyard is very nice) and THEN the carriage ride, or catch a house or plantation tour.
There%26#39;s plenty to see and do within the city proper, especially if you or your parents are a history buff.
Have a great time!

Maybe the harbour tour over to Ft. Sumter would be nice as well.
We enjoyed the Fort Sumter tour. Others have mentioned the Yorktown tour along with the usual carriage ride, etc. We were just there for a day but are going back soon for a Bluegreen presentation.
Are your parents pleased with that program? Unless we hear a lot more than the brochure said, it would not meet our needs, but I%26#39;d love to hear what they think of it.
You could spend the day at Middleton Place Plantation. Not exactly sure what their hours are.
