I booked a dinner cruise for several of us last week. It was WONDERFUL! They were so nice in assisting me with reservations and everyone loved the evening. The food was great! Even the picky eaters were impressed!
The She-Crab Soup was so good. You get your choice of entrees from about six offered. The Shrimp %26amp; Grits is a bit spicy but very good with big shrimp. The Crab Cakes were also especially good. Nobody was disappointed in their selections.
Dinner Cruise
Thanks for the review.
We have never done this, but I have thought it would be a nice activity when our extended family comes for a visit. (Yes, there are a few ';picky eaters';.)
Do all tables have a view? Any advice on how to reserve?
Dinner Cruise
When we went this time, all the tables were set up with a view. I have gone several times before with large private parties and some tables in the middle of the room did not have a view. During the winter months, the view is limited because they board at 6:30 P.M., and sail at 7:00 P.M., but the night view of the Charleston skyline is still spectacular! If you want a table next to a window you might ask when making the reservation (they are SO nice!) or get there early and be ready to board as soon as they open for boarding.
The number for reservations is 843-722-2628 and their website is www.spiritlinecruises.com
There is a cash bar and live entertainment so grab your dancing shoes!
We are looking for ';dinner and dancing'; near Kiawah in September. Kiawahville (thank you) connected me with your post. We just want to make sure the music is for dancing and couples really dance. We enjoy dancing, but don%26#39;t want to be the only couple on the floor! Do you know of any other restaurant in Charleston with a dance floor?
Most of the music was what we call ';beach music'; for shagging (our state dance) and some slow things. Think Jimmy Buffett and 50s %26amp; 60s music. There were quite a few people dancing.
I will check around for restaurants with dance floors but cannot think of any off the top of my head. Occasionally some group or place will advertise some event on the radio with dancing.
Thanks for the information.
It seems like it just may be worth the extra cost.
I%26#39;m ready to book-it.......
Bon Voyage!
What is the attire? Is it casual?
For men - khaki slacks and open collar shirt
For ladies - nice slacks or casual dress - take a jacket or wrap even in warm weather beacause the air sometimes can get chilly.
