My son and future daughter-in-law have reserved a weekend in June, 2008 for a wedding at Daufuskie. People seem nice and knowledgable. Wondered if anyone had been married or attended a wedding at Duafuskie?- comments, suggestions?
Thank You,

I%26#39;m actually getting married there in March 2008 and will gladly share my experiences with you! I would suggest that you go to theknot.com and post a question there- i was able to get in touch wtih a lot of people who got married there and get me many good pointers on what to look out for and to expect.
Best of luck!
Just got back from my friend%26#39;s daughters wedding. It was held outside near the beach and was a beautiful event. The food was excellant as was the staffing and the handling of the event. The villas and houses around the facility are nice and I would recommend staying there. The hotel itself is a bit dated and in need of an upgrade and sprucing up. It was clean.......................just not up to the standards of the rest of the facilities. Getting to the island and off can be challanging and you will need to be sure to communicate this to your guest. One of the groups in our party had all of their luggage lost between the hotel and the ferry.
Overall it was one of the prettiest weddings I%26#39;ve been to and I would recommend it.
I have seen numerous weddings on my visits there..you would find it difficult to find a more picturesque and beautiful place to have a wedding. It will not disappoint...
